VC Poker has announced that it will host the largest ever poker tournament on September 7th. The site has announced that the total prize money will be $2.5 million dollars and the winner will take home a $500,000 dollars. New players who register to the site will get a chance to win a free entry into this tournament.

To qualify for the event players will have to play in one of the many satellite tournaments that are being held. In addition players who earn 2,500 action points between July 1st and 5th will get to play in a special $2.5 Million Satellite tournament on July 15th. Those players who have earned 350,000 action points will be entered into a heads-up qualifier where the winner will get a seat at the Grand final.

Lee Ferris, VC Poker Marketing Manager, said, “We will be hosting an online poker tournament on 7th September. The tournament has a total guaranteed $2.5 million prize pool for players to win.” He added, “The total prize amount includes a minimum of $500,000 to the winner.”

VC Poker hopes that over 100,000 players that include VC Poker patron and snooker champion Ken Doherty, will try their hand at qualifying for the main event by entering one of the many satellite tournaments. The site will also host a wide range of entry fee satellite tournaments that will offer players a chance to qualify for the main event for as little as $3.30.
