Argentina May Ban Online Gambling
Argentina is following suit in the way of the US and considering making totally new laws when it comes to any form of online gambling. It looks as though they are looking to regulate all the activity that is currently happening with regards to online gaming without currently benefiting the Argentina government. Talks are currently taking place on a very high level.
It is known that it happens to be a very popular activity there to gamble whether it be in a land based casino or online but officials are saying that they will make the attempt to regulate or fully ban all online gambling activity in the year to come.
The government recently released a bill that said all forms of online gambling is illegal. The grey area comes to function when trying to state what actually qualifies as online gambling and the details of what sites will be banned and blocked from the general public. The next bill talks about the association of ISPs and what role they will have when it comes to blocking online gambling and financial sites that take money in order to process accounts for online bets.
These new bills are causing a lot of controversy talk even though they have not yet been officially passed and are only in the talks. People are fighting that it is their right to do what they want with their income in this respect that fines and imprisonment would not be fair punishment for such an offence.
