Couple Claim Powerball Jackpot Worth $30.2 Million
One single couple was the winner of a Powerball jackpot that amounted to over $30 million cash from the draw that was held on October 29th. This duo was lucky to have all numbers match exactly to the winning numbers that came down the tube. The winning numbers that week were 20, 30, 37, 50, 52 and the lucky powerball number was 33. The couple were giving the option to take an annuity that would pay out 58.6 million dollars or have the option to accept the lump sum of 30.2 million dollars. The couple chose the $30.2 million dollar option.
The women had been playing the lottery for several years. When she arrived to purchase this winning ticket she had realized that she had forgotten to bring her list of regular numbers with her and so she decided to purchase a quick pick ticket just this time. Coincidentally the winning ticket which was a quick pick had contained four of her numbers that she plays on a regular basis. She mentioned that she had felt that this was meant to be. The government will withhold 25% or their winnings as a tax allowance and reward the remainder to couple to do with as they please.
