First Time Gambler Wins £46,000 While Playing Bingo
One lucky lady from the town of Devon is jumping for joy this week as she begins to think about what she is going to do with over 46,000 pounds that she has recently won playing bingo in her neighbourhood bingo hall. She is not a regular bingo player and had happened to join her friend for a fun night of bingo when she hit the big jackpot.
Since the women had never played bingo ever before she was not expecting anything at all much less a big win! She said this came as the largest surprise that she has ever experienced “You always hear about these big wins but you never think it’ll happen to you,” the 53-year-old added.
A manager at the Bingo hall said “We are constantly hearing about the credit crunch so it’s nice to have something like this happen in our community.” “Last month, an unidentified mother and daughter scooped over £42,000 at a Gala Bingo venue in Fife, Scotland.”
In another big win of bingo, a school bus driver hit a huge jackpot winning over 60,000 pounds on a late night bingo TV show which allows players to play while watching on TV. This player was not awarded the money immediately because the rules dictated that he must wait to see if anyone else comes forward to say that they had also won the same prize. “It’s like waiting outside the maternity room”. He added: “I wore the carpet out pacing the room. I just couldn’t believe I’d won.” He was relieved to find that he was the only one to win the prize.
